Terrifically Tasty Thursday – Baked Spaghetti

This is a simple and tasty recipe for a dish that kids LOVE. It’s a favorite of my boys and we have this at least once a month.

Serve it with a big ol’ salad 🙂


One pack of spaghetti noodles

32 oz. spaghetti sauce (jarred or homemade)

One pound ground beef

2 ½ cups of cheese (cheddar, Monterey jack, mozzarella, you pick!)

Handful of parmesan (not the sprinkle kind, icky!)


Brown ground beef. I brown mine with lots of minced garlic and dried onion.

Cook noodles according to package directions.

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

When meat is browned, add pasta sauce and simmer for five minutes.

Cover bottom of casserole dish with a layer of sauce. Add ½ of noodles and sprinkle one cup of cheese atop noodles.

Add ½ of remaining sauce. Cover with remaining noodles and one cup of cheese.

Add remaining sauce to top.

Cook in oven for 30 minutes.

Add remaining cheese including Parmesan to top and allow to cook for five additional minutes, until melted and delicious-looking.
