Count Your Blessings

Count Your Blessings

Name them one by one…count your many blessings see what God has done!

This year we are jumping on the Blessings Jar bandwagon and I’m so excited!

Don’t know what a Blessings Jar is?

Well, it’s a jar that you fill with little notes throughout the year, counting blessings, such as wonderful things that happened to your family or to the members of your family.  For example, I’d LOVE to add “Baby boy is day and night potty trained!” by the end of the year.  I’m sure I won’t.  But I’d LOVE IT!  Or how about things like “We got the house!” or “Grandma came through her knee surgery beautifully!”  There are no end to our blessings and there should be no end to our thankfulness for them!

A lot of folks use a large mason jar, but I’m taking it a bit further and using a much bigger jar because we are so very blessed and I want to leave lots and lots of room!

We are using different colors of paper for every family member who can write 😉

On December 31st, we will open our Blessings Jar and see what wonderful things the Lord did for our family in 2013!

Who’s with us?

Comment if you too are using a Blessings Jar this year!

  1. Wow, what a great idea! I’m so glad you posted this, it has inspired me to clean out the “old candy that no one eats” jar and use it for a much better purpose! Thanks, Jamie 🙂
